Instructor: Cynthia Nacional 3 credits (45hrs)
August 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 (M-F) 8:00am-5:00pm Syc Computer Lab & Classroom

Do you remember the commercials with the dancing California raisins? What about the T.V. shows “Gumby”, “Davey and Goliath” and “Mr. Bill”? Have you seen the movies “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Chicken Run”? All of these productions were created using the process called Claymation, short for clay animation. Using clay, a digital camera, a computer and your imagination, we will create our own curriculum based Claymation movies to motivate and enhance your students’ learning experiences. Your students will love using clay animation as part of group projects that integrate the curriculum while using language arts and technology skills. This class is also ideal for Art teachers who would like to use Claymation with their students. We will be using Microsoft PowerPoint, MovieMaker, or you can use iMovie on your MAC laptop. You will need to bring your digital camera and USB cable to class. Materials Fee: $10.00 to instructor & a Computer Lab fee to Dellecave.
